The King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes commemorates the current Queen Elizabeth's late parents and is the European mid season middle distance championship.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Sprint takes centre
stage on Hong Kong Day - a colourful day that offers something for everyone, with a combination of magnificent oriental displays and spectacular racing action.
 
In the main display area racegoers will be able to
see dragon and lion dancing, Chinese acrobatics
and Kung Fu demonstrations.
 
Visit the Hong Kong Village where racegoers can watch the ancient arts of fortune telling, paper folding, calligraphy and much, much more.
 

Saturday 11th August: FAMILY DAY:
MADNESS PLAY AFTER RACING!

The Dubai Duty Free Shergar Cup is Britain's only jockeys' competition where teams of riders from all over the world compete over six races for the trophy.
 
Features a free concert from Madness.  Madness sprang on to the music scene in 1978 with a brand of music dubbed the ‘Nutty sound’. Between 1979 and 1986 they had 21 top 20 hits including It Must Be Love, Embarrassment, Baggy Trousers, My Girl and One Step Beyond.
 
Fairground rides at the racecourse all afternoon.
