He is fluent in seven languages, with travelling as an integral part of his life style. He attended the prestigious University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Finance in Philadelphia. In 1984, with three degrees and striking ambition, Robert joined the international finance team at Merrill Lynch on Wall Street. He started to pursue a successful career between New York and London, but ultimately discovered his true ambition to be elsewhere. After seven years of investments banking, Robert moved to London, where he decided to start his own business.

In 1990 Robert formed Tateossian Limited and set up offices in Chelsea, with a workshop in Birmingham, the heart of the silversmith industry in England.
And as they say, "the rest is history .........."
