Creating An Album:

  1. First you must Log In
  2. From your member control panel, find the link titled "Create Album". For your convienience this link is located on the left-hand side of your member control panel.
  3. You will then be taken to a form. Fill out the details on the form as directed, and select a photo to use as the cover for the album. This is accomplished by pressing the "Browse" button located to the right of the "select a photo" field.
  4. Once you have filled in all the required information, press the "Create" button located at the bottom of the form.

Uploading Your Photos:

  1. To upload your photos, you must first be logged in.
  2. From your member control panel, locate the links titled "Upload Photos". For your convienience these are located to the right, as well as the top, of your member control panel.
  3. You will now see a page with a "list" of your albums. This is shown in rows of three albums per row. Locate the album to which you wish to upload photos, and press the corresponding "Upload Photos" link. This is located just beneath the cover image of the album.
  4. You will now be presented with a form. Fill in the information as directed on the form, and press the "Browse" button located to the right of the "Select a photo" field. You should then locate the photo file on your computer, and press "Open".
  5. Once you have completed all the required information, press the "Upload" button to upload your photo.
  6. Once uploaded, you will automatically be taken back to the empty form so you can upload another photo if desired.

Organizing your photos and albums:
The Crewise Photo Gallery provides a number of useful features that enable you to keep your albums and photos organized. The steps below detail how to utilize each of these features.

Managing Your Photos

  1. You must first be logged in.
  2. From your Member Control Panel, locate and click the link titled "Organize". This is located to the left of your member control panel.
  3. Locate the album in which the photos you wish to manage are located.
  4. Click the link titled "Edit Photos" located directly beneath the cover picture for the album you choose.
  5. The page you are now on is the beginning step for the following features.

Deleting A Photo

  1. Follow steps 1 to 5 above.
  2. Locate the photo you wish to delete
  3. Click the corresponding "Delete Photo" link below said photo
  4. You will now be asked if you really want to delete this photo. This is to prevent accidental deletion of a photo.
  5. If you are sure you wish to delete the photo, press "OK" if you don't want to delete it, press "Cancel"

Rotating A Photo

  1. Follow steps 1 to 5 under the headding "Managing Your Photos" (above)
  2. Locate the photo you wish to rotate
  3. Click the corresponding "Rotate" link below said photo
  4. The image will then rotate 90 degrees clockwise. If this rotation is not sufficient, you may click the link again until the image is in the correct position. 4 clicks is equivelant to a 360 degree rotation.

Editing A Photo's Information

  1. Follow steps 1 to 5 under the headding "Managing Your Photos" (above)
  2. Locate the photo in which you wish to edit the information.
  3. Click the corresponding "Edit Photo" link below said photo
  4. Correct/complete all desired details on the form you will see, and press the button at the bottom of the form. Your photo's details will then be updated.

Managing Your Albums

  1. You must first be logged in.
  2. From your Member Control Panel, locate and click the link titled "Organize". This is located to the left of your member control panel.
  3. You should then see all of your albums displayed in rows of three. This is where you need to be for the features below.

Deleting An Album

  1. Complete steps 1 to 3 as explained above.
  2. Locate the album you wish to delete and click the corresponding "Delete Album" link located below said album.
  3. You will then be asked to confirm if you wish to delete the album. "OK" will delete it, "Cancel" will not.

Making An Album Public Or Private
Making an album Public will allow other people to view it. Making an album Private will prevent others people from viewing it (Private is default).

  1. Complete steps 1 to 3 as explained under the headding "Managing Your Albums"
  2. Locate the album you wish to make public or private.
  3. Click the corresponding "Make It Private" or "Make It Public" link underneath said album. This is a switch-state link, which means only one of the above links will be shown at any one time on any one album.

Viewing Your Albums

  1. You must first be logged in.
  2. From your member control panel, click on one of the two albums. These two albums are the latest 2 you added. You will then be taken to the album display page.
  3. On the left you will see the headding "Select Album" under which there is a list of all of your albums.
  4. Locate the album you wish to display and click on the title of said album (located immediatley beneath the cover image of that album.
  5. The display page will now show the album you selected.

Sharing Your Photos

There are several ways of sharing your photos and albums with your friends and family.
If you simply wish for a friend of family member to be able to see the photos in one or more of you albums, follow the instructions below:

  1. Complete steps 1 to 3 as explained under the headding "Managing Your Albums"
  2. Locate the album you wish to show to your family and/or friends.
  3. Click the corresponding "Invite a Friend" link located beneath your desired album.
  4. You will then be taken to a form with 4 text fields. The first 3 are for friend/familiy e-mail addresses. You do not need to use all three of the e-mail address fields. The bottom box is for you to type a message which will be sent with the invitation e-mail to your friends/family.
  5. Once you have completed the fields as described in step 4, press the "Invite" button located at the bottom of the form. Your invitations will then be sent to your selected friends and family.

If you wish to share one or more of your albums with other Crewise Photo Gallery members, allowing them to post comments/reviews for your photos, as well as editing your photograph's information... follow the steps below:

  1. You must first be logged in
  2. Click the link titled "Share" located on the navigation menu to the left of your member control panel.
  3. Click the link titled "Find Users" located above the list of your albums on the top navigation menu.
  4. You should now see a list of all Crewise Photo Gallery members.
  5. To invite one of them to join your group, locate the member you wish to invite, and click the link titled "Invite to join the group". This link is located immediatley beneath the corresponding user.

To accept/deny an invitation to join another member's group, follow the steps below:

  1. Complete steps 1 and 2 as described above
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page (this page has a list of your albums on it)
  3. You should see a headding titled "Invitations" beneath which will be a list of any and all invitations sent to you from other members.
  4. To Accept an invitation (and join their group) click "Accept"
  5. To Deny an invitation, click "Deny"

If you join another member's group, you will have access to view their photos, edit image descriptions, rotate their images, and post comments/reviews on their images for others to see.

To view albums and photos in a group member's shared gallery, follow the steps below:

  1. You must first be logged in
  2. Click the link titled "Share" located on the navigation menu to the left of your member control panel.
  3. You should now see a list of group members from whom you have accepted invitations.
  4. Locate the member who's albums/photos you wish to view.
  5. Click on their name (this is a link)
  6. You will now see a list of their albums (those that are available for you to view)
  7. Click on the cover of the album you wish to view.
